Year 3/4 Tennis festival
Tue 27 Jun 2017Children from Year 3/4 attended the Tennis Festival at Alverstoke Tennis Club in glorious sunshine. Our first experience of competition, we learnt to serve diagonally and keep score. Our children showed great sporting behaviour, whether winning or losing, and really enjoyed testing their skills against the other schools. One of nineteen teams, we were delighted when one of our teams came eight overall. The children are waiting eagerly for the next competition! -
Year 6 Isle of Wight Trip
Fri 23 Jun 2017Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Isle of Wight on Thursday where they visited Barton Primary School for sports activities, dipped their toes in the sea and enjoyed fish and chips. A well deserved trip after SATS! -
Gold Award for Science
Fri 23 Jun 2017We are celebrating at Haselworth! We have been given a gold standard award for our Science in the school. One of only 168 schools nationally! Mrs Collins, our science leader, has worked hard on improving the quality of science across our school and it is amazing to see this recognised. The children have enjoyed doing STEM activities and learning about science in a more creative way. Look out for our special Science celebration coming soon. -
Year 5 Bikeability
Tue 20 Jun 2017Well done to our year 5 children who have been practicing their bike skills this week. They were very excited to have the opportunity to cycle on the road. -
Year 3 camp
Tue 20 Jun 2017It was a glorious night for camping on Friday. Beautiful weather, a nice dry hall to camp in, and a fire to sing around. The children had a fantastic time toasting marshmellows and cooking sausages. We had lots of salad to chop and the night was completed with a sing around the fire and a hot chocolate. Who says you need a field to camp?

Kingfisher Class Darts Championship
Wed 07 Jun 2017The thrilling final took place between Jay Double Top and Oliver Bullseye. After a close match and lots of mental maths Oliver as declared champion. Well done to Jay and Oliver, and Mia and Tommy, the two semi finalists. -
Bronze medal for our cricketers
Wed 07 Jun 2017Well done to our Year 5 and 6 girls cricket team who came 3rd overall in the Gosport Schools Cricket tourmament that took place in Privett Park. Once again Haselworth children were fantastic ambassadors for our school. We are so proud of the whole team. -
£2000 grant from Tesco
Mon 05 Jun 2017We are celebrating today as we have just found out that we won £2000 towards our astro surface in the key stage one playground! Thank you to everybody who voted for us.

Skip for Heart!
Fri 26 May 2017Our British Heart Foundation charity skip was the most amazing success! Children learnt to skip, learnt new techniques and got fitter! At the same time, they showed themselves the most fantastic fundraisers, raising through their sponsorship forms a truly amazing figure - we have now collected £2079! A really big thank you to children, parents, relatives and friends who made this such an astounding event. Haselworth also gets to keep 20% for PE, so you have also raised £400 for the school.

Congratulations to our netballers.
Thu 25 May 2017Haselworth High 5 netballers won their semi-final match 11-1 in the Gosport Schools League. They played the best they had played all season and are now waiting anxiously to find out if they have got a place in the final (apparently the goal differences could be crucial.) A massive well done to the whole team who played with grit and determination and showed the true " Haselworth Way."
