  • Skip for Heart!

    Fri 26 May 2017

Our British Heart Foundation charity skip was the most amazing success! Children learnt to skip, learnt new techniques and got fitter! At the same time, they showed themselves the most fantastic fundraisers, raising through their sponsorship forms a truly amazing figure - we have now collected £2079! A really big thank you to children, parents, relatives and friends who made this such an astounding event. Haselworth also gets to keep 20% for PE, so you have also raised £400 for the school.

  • Congratulations to our netballers.

    Thu 25 May 2017
Haselworth High 5 netballers won their semi-final match 11-1 in the Gosport Schools League. They played the best they had played all season and are now waiting anxiously to find out if they have got a place in the final (apparently the goal differences could be crucial.) A massive well done to the whole team who played with grit and determination and showed the true " Haselworth Way."
  • Spaghetti Towers- yet another STEMTASTIC event!

    Thu 25 May 2017
Children and adults were challenged to see who could build the tallest tower using a packet of spaghetti and 2 packets of marshmallows. As you can see from the photos the results were amazing with the tallest tower being 111cm. Well done to all our talented engineers, designers and project managers.

  • Drones and robots visit Haselworth

    Mon 15 May 2017
The BAE Systems STEM Roadshow came to visit Haselworth on Monday 15th March. This was sponsored by BAE Systems, the Royal Navy and the Royal Airforce. The show explored the world of drones, the technology behind them and the multifarious uses that they are currently put to and the possible uses for the future. The second part of the show focused on computing and control systems that all modern technology is built around. The final part of the show featured a very special robot. The children had a fantastic time watching  a drone fly around the hall and looking at real time images being relayed onto a big screen. Some of the lucky ones even got to fly the drone themselves. Working out computer coding and the binary system was another activity the children took part in as well as pitching their wits against a tai-chi dancing robot!
  • Afternoon tea with Mrs Williams

    Thu 04 May 2017
Kingfisher class bid farewell to Mrs Williams with a lovely afternoon tea. After 7 years of working with year 6 pupils on a one to one basis Mrs Williams finally decided to retire (for the second time!) The whole Haselworth community wish both Mrs and Mr Williams a long and happy retirement. The children had a jolly spiffing time, talked politely about the weather and held their little fingers in the air when drinking tea from floral teacups.
