Fareham & Gosport Early Help Hub - Supporting Families Affected by Parental Conflict
To help meet the increasing demands on all of our services, particularly where children may be impacted by parental conflict, we have commissioned a range of online, evidence-based interventions for families to access, plus training for professionals.
These Parental/Carer interventions can be signposted to and accessed directly by families across Hampshire. The parent / carer links can be added to your websites and newsletter.
This approach aims to provide timely, accessible support that strengthens family relationships and promotes positive outcomes for children.
For Parents/Carers:
The service is via OneplusOne and is the “Getting On Better Package” – these include interventions for families as follows:
- “Me, you and the baby too” – aimed at new parents where the new addition may be affecting the parents’ relationship.
- “How to Argue Better” – aimed at parents where little things are escalating and arguments may occur in front of children.
- “Getting it Right Children” – aimed at parents who are split up and are trying to co-parent.
- “Debt and Relationship’s” – aimed at parents who may be facing financial pressures that are affecting their relationship.
Any Hampshire family can access these interventions by registering here, by choosing Southern England on the map page and clicking on Hampshire: Parent resource sign up
Back to Basics
Looking after your family's wellbeing within the home environment using the 5 ways of wellbeing.
Empowering parents and carers to support their child’s emotional wellbeing within the home
Looking after your family's wellbeing is very important. Families all need some help from time to time due to life changes or events.
As a parent or carer, you can take small steps to help your child's wellbeing as well as your own. You can do this by starting with the basics.
Using the back to basics approach can empower you to take control of the 5 ways of wellbeing
Consider one area at a time. Think about your home environment and what small changes you can make together as a family.
Think of it as building the foundations of a house, making sure your family has all the basics in place such as:
- Healthy eating
- Sleep
- Exercise
- Good routines
- Looking after yourselves and your child's wellbeing
If foundations are not in place, there is a risk of cracks appearing.
