RE Devotion: Lesson one
Watch the video of the song 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' from the movie Grease (1978!). If you haven't seen this, the story is that 'Sandy' and 'Danny' meet over the summer and go out together, but when she joins his school after the summer, things don't go very smoothly! After watching the video, there are two activities to complete.

New PE unit - Shang Dynasty
In history you will be studying the Shang Dynasty this half term. One of your PE unit will use this as the theme. We are going to combine our gym shapes and individual balances (no contact balance for obvious reasons!) which give balance, with fitness exercises for strength, and some martial-art (Kung Fu) type moves (co-ordination and strength) into a sequence. Our first sessions will be recap of balances. As I say in the videos (there is one for shapes and another for individual balances), these are simple, familiar balances, but performing them well requires a whole-body focus.
