Chicken Pox
Mon 19 Nov 2018CHICKEN POX
IF YOUR CHILD DEVELOPS CHICKEN POX THEY MUST NOT ATTEND SCHOOL WHILST THEY ARE INFECTIOUS.
ONCE SCABS FORM ON ALL THE SPOTS, YOUR CHILD IS NO LONGER INFECTIOUS. THEY MAY GO BACK TO SCHOOL WHEN THE SPOTS ARE ALL SCABBED OVER AND DRY WHICH IS USUALLY 5 TO 6 DAYS AFTER THE START OF THE RASH.
IF YOUR CHILD IS RETURNING TO SCHOOL FOLLOWING CHICKEN POX, WE ASK THAT YOU NOTIFY THE SCHOOL OFFICE PRIOR TO THEIR RETURN TO CONFIRM THEY ARE NO LONGER INFECTIOUS.
KEEPING YOUR CHILD AT HOME DURING THIS PERIOD PROTECTS THE COMMUNITY ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WHO ARE AT RISK OF SERIOUS PROBLEMS, SUCH AS NEW BORN BABIES, PREGNANT WOMEN AND ANYONE WITH A WEAKENED IMMUNE SYSTEM.
ComplicationsChildren who have had chickenpox recently are more likely to develop more serious infection during an outbreak of scarlet fever and so parents should remain vigilant for symptoms such as a persistent high fever, cellulitis (skin infection) and arthritis (joint pain and swelling). If you are concerned for any reason please seek medical assistance immediately. -

End of Term Reflections Service at Christ Church
Tue 17 Jul 2018This afternoon we celebrated the end of the school year with a Service of Reflection at Christ Church.
Led by Father Andy Davis, the children sang, performed with their class and joined in with prayers, with parents watching.
Mrs Steele congratulated the children who had received certificates this term for displaying the Haselworth values. They stood at the front of the church for a bow and round of applause.
Thank you for your support everyone who came along to share a joyful celebration of the end of the school year.
