Chris Riddell Visit

Kingfishers class were lucky enough to go to Thornden School to see Children's Laureate Chris Riddell. Famous for his illustrations and comic writing, this was an inspiring event.

To add add to the day, Simone won the Hampshire Bookmark Award. She got to meet Chris and won a big stack of books for the school library. Well done Simone.

The childten have all come back wanting to be authors and illustrators. A very successful day.

Year 6 visit the Submarine Museum

Kingfisher class have spent the day finding out about life on board a submarine. They also discovered what makes submarines sink and float. The tour guide commented on how impressed he was with the children's behaviour and the questions they asked. He said Haselworth children where some of the best behaved children he had ever shown around the museum. That's the Haselworth Way!
