Today we celebrated the end of the year with a Christmas service at Holy Trinity Church, attended by the whole school and parents.

Led by Revd Davies and pupils from Year 6, the school sang and illuminated the church with small LED candles gifted by Holy Trinity.

Sunshine class and Wrens class sang songs ‘The First Christmas’ and ‘I have to Fly to Bethlehem’.

Owls performed their version of the Nativity with Makaton signing.

Puffins led the congregation in singing Away in a Manger.

Kingfishers read the ‘Four Candles of Advent Poem’.

And Oliver concluded the service by reading a Christmas Prayer. 

The children arrived safely, and after unpacking their belongings got straight on with the first activity.

After a tour of the site the children did lots of activities: including  map reading; nature pallets; mirror walking; nature cocktail making(messy and smelly) and a wildlife talk.

We have been in the News this week and had lots of exciting visitors.  These have included our local MP, Caroline Dinenage, and our county Councillor Peter Edgar. All of our visitors commented on what a polite and hard working group of children we have, and that the staff are all dedicated and enthusiastic. Thank you to all of the parents who came in to read with their children last week, we had a great turn out.

Parents are invited to join us every Friday to hear their child read from 9.00 - 9.25am.

The £1 book store will also be open if you wish to choose any books with your child. We have some new and exciting titles in stock.

Remember  -  this is not for profit, its to get our children to love reading as much as we do!

Heroes week at Haselworth has been a roaring success!

We have had visits from a Doctor, the Royal Navy, RNLI, Police, Fire Brigade and Coastguard.

The Search & Rescue helicopter even paid us a visit!

We raised a fantastic £121 for the charity Inspiration Federation! Well done Haselworth! and well done Mrs Ashman for organising such a great week.
